कुछ रचनाओं का अंग्रेजी मे भावार्थ मुम्किन नहीं हो पता।  Am really sorry friends as this time I did not create an English version as it would be unjust to the words written in Hindi.

In search – Teri Talash – a poem

I wrote this to write a journey but the words just got created and when the poem ended it got me more peace than what I intended to pen. A poet or writer does feel that peace after a creation. This is dedicated to all writers and poets in search.

Unkept Promises – Vaada Khilaafi

This is the first time I have tried to record another poet’s work in my voice. The beautiful words of Vaada Khilaafi have been penned by Rajveer Singh Prajapati.

Rajveer is a poet and writer of the novel ‘Destined Lives – Journey till the start’. He carries an equal amount of passion for Books and Royal Enfield Bullet. His friends call him Wikipedia due to his obsession with reading articles on it. Get to know more about Rajveer’s work at  http://rajveerspace.blogspot.in/.

Priceless Moments

Priceless MomentsTried my hand at a new poetry form called Minute Poetry. The Minute Poem is rhyming verse form consisting of 12 lines of 60 syllables written in strict iambic meter. The poem is formatted into 3 stanzas of 8,4,4,4; 8,4,4,4; 8,4,4,4 syllables. The rhyme scheme is as follows:aabb, ccdd, eeff. Have tried to fit in the syllables taking some liberties in order to maintain the mood of the poem theme.

Nostalgia

Rohan entered the party hall with a pounding heart and heavy steps. Even after six years of separation all he longed for was a glimpse of those deep black eyes and fuller lips, that one face hers. Among the various standing figures he saw Ananya – nervously pretentious of being participative among them. One glance and he drank her presence along with her need of him. They had just parted ways not hearts…

Here is my humble try at recording Teri khushboo main base khat

Translation:

Hidden from the eyes of the world, they were kept
Close to my heart for an age, they were kept
As my faith and conscience, they were kept

Concealed from the world, you wrote them
Year after year, in my name, you wrote them
During the day, sometimes at night you wrote them

Steeped in your fragrance, these letters how could I burn
Immersed in love, these letters how could I burn
Written by your hands, these letters how could I burn

Your letters afloat in the Ganga I have set
On fire, the flowing waters I have set

Ahista Ahista – my recording

I have tried to record Amir Meenai’s ghazal Ahista Ahista, hope you like it.
