O’Lover – A Sedoka Poem

Katauta

My first attempt at a Sedoka. The Katauta is an unrhymed Japanese form consisting of 17 or 19 syllables. The poem is a three-lined poem the following syllable counts: 5/7/5 or 5/7/7.

The Katauta form was used for poems addressed to a lover. A single katauta is considered incomplete or a half-poem, however, a pair of katautas using the syllable count of 5,7,7 is called a sedoka.Β

    1. Oh…may be I moved from WordPress to Disqus (was getting 300 spam a day) that would have done something to the comment. But I know your continuous support is always there πŸ™‚

  1. What is a Sedoka? And Katauta is an unrhymed Japanese form of? Like the image design of poem. You know Japanese? Do you teach it as well?

I landed up here and was like cool theme, I thought of it as a blogger theme but found to be a WordPress one and liked the side bar gadget though would suggest you to get a custom facebook page.

    1. Wo…Wo…Too many questions. Well Sedoka as mentioned in my post is a Japanese poetry form same as Haiku. You don’t necessarily need to know the language to adapt a poem form.
Now coming to the theme, thank you for finding it cool. What do you mean by a custom facebook page, I do have onehttps://www.facebook.com/pages/Sunshine-and-Zephyr/1466119010322091?ref=ts&fref=ts

      1. What all poem forms do we have in India then?

I meant to say a unique URL for your facebook page like facebook.com/sunshineandzephyr something if available and once set then it can be changed only once.

          1. I just wrote the link suddenly and when I checked that then it opens your profile. The way you got a unique URL for your fb pro, the same way you can get for your page from settings. Rather it should be the link for your page.

Just in case you would like to redirect someone to your page. Like while traveling, when I get to know someone and they ask for my FB profile then I simply route to fb.com/apnidelhi as I don’t add everyone meeting around. Hope, I am able to clarify this time, what is actually a custom link for your page.
