Lovers Star Crossed

We met after an age determined
‘Twas an ocean of emotions within
Both led on a path the universe loathed
What were we but lovers star crossed?

We drenched in rain and enjoyed mountain breeze
And played through pastures and the maple trees
We gained less and more we lost
Did we know we were lovers star crossed?

We trode troublous with a dream ‘twill change destiny
We’d live in eternal love and harmony
What fools were we, can destiny be changed at all
Forgot that we were lovers star crossed

Injured, hurt in search of twilight we accepted defeat
Like the parallel lines walk together but never can meet
E’vry star around happy as we exhaust
After all we were the chosen lovers star crossed

Now we are away and do all that is right
Not heeding to the earth that misses the sun at night
Accept it and say to each other
My Love, we keep the tryst for life another.

With the Sun, Moon and Stars agleam
Love and live for a united dream
The sparrows and the cuckoos singing eloquent vespers
Alas we sha’nt be lovers star crossed

This is my very very humble attempt to pay a small tribute to the great work of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. The term star crossed lovers was first coined in this epic work. To read more star crossed lovers

Imaginary Garden – The Tuesday Platform

Pluviophile…Love for the Rain!

About the time when the sky shines
I look up as the moon hides

The moonlight hidden and embraced by a dark cloud
The thunder and lightning fierce and loud

People tell me its rage unknown
I feel it’s a form of love shown

Not all forms of love be gentle
This one is passionate and carnal

Another look and the moment I wait
The cloud darkens, changes its gait

When it reaches the zenith of obsession
The dark cloud will give away its priced possession

The earth bares its yearning
Telling the clouds it’s time to give in

It thunders and gives it all in one burst
The earth accepts, soothes and quenches its thirst

I get drenched and feel calm
The rain drops on my face balm

Unknown faces may call me abaxile
But I am just a pluviophile!
